Certainly, of course, there is the feeling of love, but also, it could be something closer to the ties of familiship." When questioned about them having a father/daughter relationship, the author answered "There's no one way to distinguish how they (Alucard and Seras) feel about it (their relationship). Comrade, or, from Seras' point of view, probably Alucard is the master/teacher. Kouta Hirano stated in an interview at Otakon 2006, "Her relationship with Alucard is very complicated, since "many things mix together", like being part of the same kind. Also, when Jan turned all of the Hellsing Organisation Special Military Forces' into ghouls, Seras had PTSD, of her D-11 team when she was still working with the London Police Department was turned into ghouls by the Cheddar Priest, which led to her literally standing still, letting them surround her while she couldn't bear the guilt of killing one of her own, to which, she lost control and killed them all in an instant, then immediately feeling regret after snapping out of it. Seras also has a fear of losing anymore members, which led to some pretty hasty decisions made by her, which involves the Zorin Blitz fight upset and angered that Zorin's army of vampiric nazi soldiers were chewing the Wild Geese, which she considers one of her friends and such, she brutally kills them and then, goes totally blind with anger which Zorin uses to her advantage, and Seras got her eyes sliced off by her scythe, which she can't regenerate them, due to her having literally no soul inside her. However, regretted it shortly after she wakes up, realizing what she had done. Also, her "berserk mode" is a very recognizable part of her -where her eyes turned from red to blue in an instant, and she's anything but the timid girl she used to be, which, her true strength as a true vampire now is shown, as she was able to kill multiple ghouls in an instant. However, it was because she was mad that Zorin Blitz had killed her lover in front of her, and insulted him right after, which sent Seras into madness. Her struggles to drink blood before she became a full-fledged vampire was also integral to her character development before she drank Bernadotte's blood, she was a timid - yet, brave woman who was caught in an unfortunate accident where she will have to deal with the fact that she's no longer human, which, Seras definitely took long to accept. Her past also mentioned that she was in trouble for attacking multiple kids at an orphanage she lived in as a child, so her childish behavior was a bit unexpected. She's the "light that stands out from the darkness" (quoting Kouta Hirano from an interview). Her level of maturity in comparison to the other characters is somewhat questionable she seems to be the child the others could not be, yet possessing a sort of worldly maturity and superficial intelligence that most other characters lack, as well as a sort of 'nurture winning against nature' mentality, as opposed to most other characters. However, she is a loyal and trustworthy soldier who will diligently follow the orders of her commander, provided said commander has proven his or her worth. Her devotion to morals and integrity is rather unusual, considering her horrid past. Seras is often considered a tomboy a very brave, strong, and heroic young woman who while exhibiting a wild temperament, is not afraid to question the orders of her master if they cross with her personal beliefs. Seras is a strong-willed woman and apparently had always been since childhood which is confirmed through her flashbacks. Later on, when it was shown that she was an orphan, she wore a white shirt with black vest and a dark red cravat. On the flashback of Ultimate 8, when Seras was young, she wore a teal sweater.
